Certified clinical hypnotherapist

Kate uses a blend of techniques which she tailors according to the needs of the individual. In addition to Clinical Hypnotherapy she also uses Mindfulness, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation, Reprocessing) and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique). These techniques are a wonderful complement to Hypnotherapy and can be a very effective way to uncover the root cause of many issues. As a hypnosis practitioner, Kate holds a Diploma in EMDR and is an Accredited, Certified EFT Practitioner (through AAMET International). Kate is also a Mindfulness Teacher (trained through the British Mindfulness Institute).

Additionally Kate has a growing interest in Yoga Therapy and uses a regular yoga practice to complement her work.

Kate runs a busy hypnosis clinic with locations in Chichester, Midhurst, Westbourne and Havant. She has also offered a local hypnotherapy service to patients at The Rowans Hospice in Waterlooville.

Before Kate became a professional hypnotherapist she was an academic at The University of Southampton. Her doctorate was in Environmental Science and much of her research was in Latin America and Africa. She decided to change career after a health issue sparked an interest in the healing power of the mind.

Kate is a full member of the British Society for Clinical Hypnosis which is a national professional body whose aim is to promote and assure high standards in the practice of hypnotherapy. She undertakes regular supervision to maintain standards as well as ongoing training (currently through London College of Clinical Hypnosis). Currently Kate is undertaking the ILM 7 award in Executive Coaching and Mentoring (Institute of Leadership and Management). Kate is fully insured and respects client confidentiality at all times.
