Sugar is everywhere you look, yet it can be as addictive as cigarettes and alcohol. Whether you crave chocolate, biscuits, cakes, fizzy drinks or sweets you have no doubt discovered that sugar is a little bit addictive. Until relatively recently, it was primarily drugs and alcohol that were thought of as being additive substances. Now scientists are realising that sugar also  falls within this category. The consumption of sugar can alter brain chemistry and stimulate the parts of the brain associated with pleasure and reward. Unfortunately these parts of the brain also drive addiction: this is why sugar is a problem!

The good news is that hypnosis is an incredibly effective way to overcome addictive behaviour. It works because habits and addictions are essentially thought patterns controlled by our unconscious mind. Hypnosis directly communicates with this part of the mind. When we are in a deeply relaxed hypnotic state we can replace the addictive urge for sugar with a desire to eat healthier alternatives. Hypnosis addresses the underlying reasons behind why and when we eat. By understanding what causes our eating behaviours we can change the pattern. Eating can then become a more mindful process and it can even become instinctive to eat the good stuff!

Ideally listen to the hypnosis on a daily basis until the cravings reduce. Then listen once a week until your diet has changed for the better.
