Why is that when the going gets tough the junk food comes out?

Regardless of what our food weaknesses are, emotional stress will help us find them. Sometimes we don't even know that we’re under stress until we start mindlessly eating mouthful after mouthful.

At first it feels like we're solving the problem but it doesn’t solve the problem at all. In fact, emotional eating can be the beginning of a downward spiral. We eat to reward ourselves and heal our emotional problems, only to find that we feel even worse.
